Happy Wednesday my dears! I have a monthly mani favorites post for you today

First up I have a manicure using Wet n Wild's "Tickled Pink", OPI's "Alpine Snow", Finger Paints' "Hue Left A Message?" and a random black striper.

I wanted to do a pink manicure for the month of October to show support and to raise awareness for breast cancer. I decided on this specific design while browsing through Kaitlin Ferland's website ( www.thedailypolish.com ). There, she displays a tutorial on how to create over-sized hearts. I loved the idea but I knew I wasn't skilled enough to create the look free-hand like she did, so I used tape which gave a more over-sized chevron-y look, if you will, rather than a rounded heart look. Although it wasn't exactly what I was going for, I know it still surpasses the look I would have achieved if I attempted it free-hand!
As for the polish itself, it is a drugstore polish that retails for about $.99. That being said, I wasn't too surprised that it took three coats to be opaque, but once it was opaque the color was lovely. Obviously it wasn't the best formula, but for a dollar I really can't complain.

Next up is Loreal's "Brit Invasion"

L'oreal brit invasion

Let me start by apologizing for the tip wear! This photo was taken three days after I painted my nails because the dang sun didn't want to come out and play!
There really isn't much to say about this-- The formula was great (shown is 2 coats) and the color is so chic- I've come to the conclusion that when my 16 and 17 year old friends think a polish is too "grown-up" because it's brown/tan/nude etc., it's just too chic for them! haha - and perfect for fall!

Polish number three is Ulta's  "Pink Marble"

Ulta pink marble

I picked this polish up at Ulta with my reward points. I was having such a hard time choosing a polish so I asked my mom which one she thought would look good on me that was different from polishes I own, and she picked this beauty.
Pink Marble is a beautiful frosty pink. Shown above is two coats with a flower sticker that I received from the lovely girls over at daily charme because I won their summer giveaway! Anywho, I was a bit disappointed with this polish at first because of the brush stroke issue that so many frosty polishes have, but after the second coat and topcoat, it wasn't so bad. I actually received quite a few compliments on this manicure! Totally happy with it.

The last polish is Sephora by OPI's "If You've Got It Haunt It"

One coat over one coat of Revlon's "Stiletto"

This polish was purchased in a mini set at Sephora called Tinsel Town, in January of this year and this is only the second time I've used it... what?! Lol, I was waiting until this time of year to wear it again but seeing how beautiful it is, I probably will be wearing it again soon even if it is out of season! I just can't believe how gorgeous it is, end of story!

So that concludes my monthly mani favorites for October, thank you for reading
